Our Queer Artists in Action Office Hours are in full swing! Join Mel, a local singer-songwriter, to learn about their songwriting process. Participants can watch, listen, and interact with writing tools for instrumentation and the lyric-writing process. Mel can answer your questions about songwriting, guide your curiosity and creativity, and maybe (probably) sing a song (or a few) together!
Queer Art in Action: is a series of live Office Hours with local queer artists at the Cambridge KiOSK. During each session, a local Queer artist will work on their craft—poetry, songwriting, fiber arts, cartooning, and more—right in the KiOSK. Drop by to witness the creative process, connect with the artist, and, through your engagement, become part of the work.
Queerness isn’t just about LGBTQ+ identity. It’s also about re-imagining relationships, forms of expression, and futures beyond what’s already culturally expected to build new possibilities together in our community. As a public incubator, the Cambridge KiOSK is a space for experimentation, collaboration, and collective creation—making it the perfect place for this series.
While this series was dreamt up in celebration of Pride month, we are continuing this series throughout the summer, since Queer joy should be celebrated year round!
